response to rhythm
1) kinetic art is art that includes actively moving parts
2)Mobiles can be considered a moving art piece. "Master of ceremonies" by Miriam Schapiro shows recorded movement. Compositional movement is anything where the lines sustain a rhythm or its a repetition of objects like those in Salisbury cathedral
3)compositional movement is used in art to direct the viewer's eye to a certain subject.
4) you can record actual movement on a flat surface by taking a photo of it and freezing that moment in time. another way is to use multiple images in order to convey a moving image
5)Regular, flowing, alternating, unexpected and progressive rhythm
6) Frans hals created this piece to convey the naunces and actions of a group of people interacting with eachother.
response to pattern
1) the visual pattern is the repetition of one or more elements
2) natural pattern would include that in pine cones and wood grain whereas manufatctured pattern is man made like the criscrossing structure of the hancock building
3)Pattern is used to add variety to sculptures and create contrast in photographs or paintings
4)planned pattern can be made by using rows grids, halfdrop designs or alternating patterns
5)random patterns are paatterns created by chance without organization
6) The spaniards and puebo people had a hefty influence on the navajo blanket weaving because the pueblo taught them how to weave cloth on upright looms and the spaniards provided a source for the color red to be used.
7) Michalangelo used a radial pattern for the campidoglio
